May

Playful and loving is how I would describe May and Del. May knew exactly what she wanted when she came in to see me. I love when clients know exactly what they want, that makes my job so easy…I can just let the client do what they want and capture it how it happens. I find that images that I have little to no influence in create the best images. The expressions are true. The emotions are real. I also love it when clients bring keepsakes for their soon to be child. May brought beautiful silk booties from the Philippians. She also brought a framed picture from her ultrasound. (How cool is that.

Outside Maternity Session

Last night I did an adventurous session in the park. It was a great night. The fall air is upon us. It only rained for our last shots at the fountain. We got kinda wet going to the fountain, but it was for a good cause and the couple was more than willing to participate.

I hope you guys enjoy your little preview, the studio shots will be up soon, take care.

Carly

I have had a great pleasure of photographing Carly three times now. The first time was in 2000, the second time was in 2005, and the third time was last week. I can’t believe how much she has changed through the years. She has always been very photogenic and comfortable in front of the camera. (I have included for everyone’s viewing pleasure a recap of the images through the years.)
Thanks for coming in, I can’t wait until we go outside at the end of the month.

Clients from all over Alberta

Blue Frame has grown leaps and bounds this year. In the past couple of months I have booked clients from all over Alberta. It is so wonderful to see. Thank you to all who have passed my name and website around to others, the response has been awesome.

A client that I photographed last week was one of those out of town clients. She and her partner came all the way from Wabasca to see me. I am totally in love with this image, I am so glad we decided to play with the material. It turned out amazing.

Thanks for coming to see me; I can’t wait to meet your little one. Take care.

Serious Catching Up - Part two

Also in the past months I had the opportunity to photograph the formal portraits of a maternity couple I had last December. (They are the couple that are on the splash page of my website.) It was so crazy…They had planned to get married two days before the actual wedding. They had planned on going home to Nova Scotia to get married, but all the planning was just too stressful. (I totally agree! It can be so overwhelming sometimes, and really, it’s all about what the couple wants, not anyone else.) So they decided that they were getting married here, and fly home after. So the bride called me on the Saturday morning of the wedding…I was still sleeping. She called three times, and my husband brought me my phone, and said “something’s going on; someone has called you three times.” But no one left a message. So I checked my email and there was an email from her asking if I was busy. I hadn’t had any real plans that day. So we met up in a ravine by their house, and took some lovely casual portraits of the beautiful couple and their little guy Jesse. It was a great afternoon with no stress. It was exactly what they wanted. I heard that she didn’t cry until she saw tears in her groom’s eyes. How perfect is that.
Serious Catching Up To Do
So the past 2 and half weeks have been a complete blur…To much to do, so little time. It feels like I haven’t posted anything forever.

So we are going to go back to a session I did in June. (before I started blogging…but I have to, this little girl is so adorable.) Her name is Addison. She is this perfect little angel. At the time she wasn’t talking, wasn’t walking not even crawling. She is a well deserved breath of fresh air for her parents. (She has two older brothers who like to run their parents wild at times. Even with their abundant energy they are very cute and love their little sister to pieces.) She is ever more adorable now that she is out of her mom’s belly. I photographed her mom last August.

These munchkins’ parents are friends of ours. They are so cute. I love how their eyes sparkle. We had a great time playing in the playground by their school. The little guys were more interested in playing in the sand, then actually getting their photograph taken, but that’s alright, Abigail was more than willing to get her picture taken. Her parents are in some trouble when she turns 16! She is a beautiful little girl!
